Creative Spiral Fellowship

Named after the Spiral Arts Alliance, a collective of African-American artists initially formed by Romare Bearden, Charles Alston, Norman Lewis, and Hale Woodruff in 1963, the ARTNOIR Creative Spiral Fellowship hopes to continue the legacy of art discourse, organization, and upward motion towards common goals as individuals artists and people of color. 

As part of ARTNOIR’s ongoing commitment to equity in the arts though unique, one of a kind experiences, we designed a 4-month 'Arts, Digital Marketing and Event Production Fellowship. The ideal candidate will work as part of a small team and gain first-hand experience related to content creation, event production, social media management and research to support our cultural programming. Ingenuity, curiosity and a passion for the arts & culture is a must! 

This program will offer the opportunity for an individual to actively learn about the arts, culture, creative industries and equitable access to the arts. 

 
 

Eligibility:

  • We invite candidates from all educational backgrounds, formal and informal, to apply.

  • We are committed to building a diverse team and strongly encourage applications across all levels of experience, age, orientation, and ability.

  • Have a strong interest in pursuing a career in the arts & culture creative industry, including curation and event production. 

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and ability to present to diverse audiences, specifically racially, ethnically, and socioeconomically diverse communities

  • A command of the written English language (Second language a plus). An interest in writing (and contributing) and basic copy-editing skills are pluses.

  • Strong organizational, administrative skills. 

  • Social media savvy with a desire to storytell in unique ways.

  • Familiarity of Adobe Creative Suite and Mailchimp preferred.

  • Candidates must be able to work remotely and on-site.
